World Sufi spirit festival held every year at Rajasthan started at Nagaur on 17th February 2014. The festival is conducted in two sessions at two stages at Nagaur and Jodhpur of Rajasthan, India.
From 17th
to 19th of February 2014, the World Sufi spirit festival was celebrated at Nagaur. The festival is held at Jodhpur from 21 to 23 of February
2014. Mehrangarh Fort and Ahhichatragarh
Fort , the two historical forts in Jodhpur and Nagaur is the venue of the
festival. The festival was started with the Gair Dance of Rajasthan and the Kathak.
At Nagur, the festival came to an end on 19th of February.
Jodhpur will start its festive days on 21st
at Mehrangarh Fort. The festival begins with the traditional music of Rajasthan
followed by Rajasthani Qawwalli. There will be musical expression of women, Kathak,
Rajasthan Gair Dance, childrens workshop, folk traditions, spirutal songs and
sufi music on all the days. The festival concludes on 23rd of
February.
